From Dalaman Airport to Marmaris: All Your Options

Most people arriving in Marmaris by plane land at Dalaman Airport (DLM). The airport is about 90–95 km from Marmaris and the journey usually takes between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Here are the most common transport options.

Havaş shuttle (bus)

One of the most economical and regular options is the Havaş service. Buses are usually scheduled around flight arrivals and set off for Marmaris after a short wait following landing. Since fares and times can change by season, we recommend checking current information at the airport or online. It's budget-friendly, but it drops you at the Marmaris bus station/centre, from where you'll need to reach your accommodation separately.

Private transfer (VIP)

A door-to-door, wait-free and comfortable option. It's especially practical for families, those with a lot of luggage, or late-night arrivals. The driver greets you by name and takes you straight to the boulevard near your accommodation. Since the price is per vehicle rather than per person, it can be good value for larger groups.

Shared shuttle

A middle option between a private transfer and the bus: a minibus shared with a few passengers heading the same way. More flexible than the bus, more affordable than a private transfer.

Car rental and taxi

If you'd like to explore the surroundings (Kumlubük, İçmeler, Turunç) on your own, you can rent a car at the airport. But remember: the old castle quarter of Marmaris is closed to vehicle traffic, and parking is in the town's car parks. A taxi is the fastest but most expensive option.

A little help from us

Since cars can only reach the nearby boulevard in the old castle area, if you let us know in advance we can meet you at the boulevard, help with your luggage and support you in arranging a transfer. Send us your flight time and we'll plan the rest together.
